Where it all started
In the year 2018 Khymo, Sander, Amber and Tijn decided to rent an allotment plot where they together with their friends could try out gardening. What started with a few small seeds grew into a big dream. A dream of an alternative way of living, working and housing, a simpler way in harmony with nature and far from the 9 till 5 culture.
After gardening for two years they decided to start searching for the right place to realize this dream. They learned a lot while traveling in their campervans and they felt they were on the right track. One year later they found the perfect spot and called it the Garden of Freedom.
The team
Tijn van aelst
Tijn got a degree in nature and recreation management and has worked for a local flower grower. He has a big passion for permaculture and does the milking of our goats. In his spare time he likes to play guitar and is interested in philosophy and spirituality.
Khymo Lette
Khym fills his spare time by creating stunning jewellery as an experienced goldsmith. He is mostly found in the garden or around the chicken coop. He is interested in microscopic life that he likes to cultivate in fermenting vegetables, bread baking and mushroom growing. During hikes he keeps his eyes open for edible mushrooms.
Sander Fremeijer
Sander is a passionate Graphic Designer and Visual Artist, and one of the creative minds within GoF. He is dedicated to building constructions from recycled materials. He has a love for electronic music and always seems to have hundreds of art projects on the go at once.
Amber Lobato
Amber got a big interest in herbal medicine, natures healing power and fitness. She also discovered a big passion for christianity, while working on the farm. She left the farm to be closer to her family and her spiritual community but who knows what the future holds. She always will be connected with the project.
